At The Globe and Mail for more than a decade, I loved every minute of my career in the newsroom. But I walked away for something I loved even more: being a mom to two spirited little girls.

As a freelance editor and writer, I now get to do both things well; I continue to create great journalism and get invited to the fanciest tea parties around. 

The values I try to instil in my kids are also how I happen to do my best work: curiosity, persistence, creativity, passion.
